The Scent of Spring Rain

Charleston Cates was a man broken from his recent divorce. He was torn as to whether he should remain in Houston, Texas, or move back to his hometown of Mequon, Wisconsin. While house-sitting for his uncle and aunt in Mequon, he met the lovely Dr. Roma Lee Payne, their neighbor. She too was broken, but it was not over a relationship – she had a greater loss and was keeping it a secret.
